Optio were involved in a data warehousing project for a large UK cab company. In particular we were responsible for the architecture of data structures, architecture of data load protocols and processes and cost benefit analysis with particular regard to interfacing with a variety of legacy systems.
Optio provided design, analysis and development of stored procedures, enabling complex aggregation
and processing of Point of Sale source data for a large national retail chain.
The company was an integral part of a team developing a web based reporting solution covering
distribution and service across various national supermarket chains. Optio were responsible for the
design and implementation of new database structures to support the additional requirements introduced
when adding a reporting component to the existing transactional system.
Optio staff were involved in the development of a call centre data warehouse for a large national bank. More specifically the team was responsible for the architecture of data structures, architecture of data load, access protocols and processes and the suggestion of hardware and software vendors.
Company staff were part of a team developing a data warehouse and reporting solution providing analytic information for a national telecommunications company's top 500 customers. Specifically the roles of Optio staff included: chief architect responsible for the design of the data warehouse and also for the complete design of the data extraction, transformation and load processes; data analysis; design and implementation of key components including administration interfaces; and the drafting of deployment processes.
Optio were involved in the design and implementation of views and stored procedures enabling
strategic reporting on national and international music catalogue and sales information, updated
daily from around the world for a large international music label.
Optio performed analysis, tuning and re-engineering of a dimensional database and cubes for
a data mart used to analyse performance of field staff across Australia for a national telecommunications
company. Specifically Optio roles included leading the database design team and later leading
the data migration team.
Tas Vacations and Optio have a continuing relationship whereby Optio provide advice and construction regarding the enhancement of their tourism reservation system. The system is both a desktop and a web application accessing a common database.
Optio has partnered with Crystal Decisions to develop row level view time security to Crystal Reports
for several Crystal Enterprise users.
